Abstract:

The records consist of correspondence, clippings, programs, manuscripts, photos, and other ephemera that detail Bernhard C. Korn’s service with Bay View High School and Milwaukee public schools, his various historical interests, and his activities with various civic groups.

Biographical Note:

Korn served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal of Bay View High School from 1915 to 1960.  He was also a historian, with a particular interest in the history of Bay View, and served as president of the Milwaukee County Historical Society.  In addition, Korn was an active member of the Bay View Advancement Association and edited the Bay View Advance in the early twentieth century.  He passed away in August 1976. 

Administrative Info:

The collection was donated in September 1976.  The collection was reprocessed by Kevin Abing in April 2003.
