Abstract: William Ward Wight (1849-1931) was a respected lawyer in Milwaukee for more than 50 years.  He was born in Rensselaer County, New York, in 1849.  He obtained his law degree from the Albany Law School in 1872 and moved to Milwaukee three years later, where he established a successful practice.  He passed away in January 1931.

Scope and Content: The collection includes certificates of appointments as a notary public from the State of Wisconsin and Wight family trees, tracing the family’s ancestry to Carolingian and Saxon lines of royalty.
