Historical Note:

Mr. Kuehn was the 1960 and 1962 GOP Nominee for Governor of Wisconsin.  In the second election Mr. Kuehn lost to John W. Reynolds by the narrow margin of 1%.  Born (1919) and raised in Milwaukee, “Buz” was active in the Republican Party; he served as both Milwaukee County and State Republican Party Chairman.  After W.W.II he joined the Kuehn family business, Wisconsin Cold Storage Co.  In 1964 Mr. Kuehn moved south and died in Mississippi (Oct. 1992).  The bulk of this collection consists of correspondence during his 1962 campaign.
