Abstract: Walter William Kraase was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, on November 10, 1895.  He registered for the armed services in 1917 and was called to duty in 1918.  He served as a private in Co. C.  Mr. Kraase and his wife Celia later lived in Milwaukee and West Allis.

Scope and Content: The collection includes post cards (1908-1916) to Walter from brothers Alfred and Ernest, sister Ella and other relatives and acquaintances, as well as various documents and publications related to Walter’s military service.
