Abstract: Ray “Bigbee” Geshrick was a star of Milwaukee’s sandlot baseball leagues.  One newspaperman called him the “Babe Ruth” of the Pantke-Harpkes Hatters.  He earned a tryout with the Dubuque, Iowa, baseball club of the Mississippi Valley League.

Scope and Content: This collection contains newspaper clippings and photographs relating to Ray “Bigbee” Geshrick and sandlot baseball teams in Milwaukee spanning the 1920s and 1930s. It also, includes a blank 1934 score card for an AAA Municipal League game as well as Geshrick’s release notice from the Dubuque baseball club.  In additional, this collection contains photos and a newspaper clipping relating to the contortionist Roman Budnick.
