Drufenbrock was born in Evansville, IN, in 1930. She moved to Milwaukee in 1948 and joined the Sisters of St. Francis. She obtained a degree in mathematics and taught at several area schools, including Alverno College and St. Joan Antida High School. Her interest in social issues led her to join the Socialist Party in 1976. In 1980, she was the Party’s Vice-Presidential candidate.
The records consist of clippings, brochures, flyers, publications, and newsletter and detail, for the most part, Drufenbrock and the 1980 campaign. Also included is information on Frank Zeidler, other Socialist presidential campaigns, as well as other issues of interest to the Socialists.
